Draft Breakdown: Kyle Wilber

4th round/18th pick/113th overall

Pros: Smart, Good pass rusher. Had 13.5 career sacks at Wake Forest.

Cons: Needs to gain weight and strength (6-3, 250 pounds)

Linebacker Kyle Wilber as the Sam linebacker had two good practices. He was impressive in the way that he played in coverage, carrying running back Darrell Scott up the field deflecting the ball that Lionel Smith intercepted. He also showed his ability to run from the backside to make a play on the ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage. -Bryan Broaddus of Dallas Cowboys.com

My Opinion

The Cowboys address another need by selecting OLB Kyle Wilber. Going into the off-season the secondary and linebacker positions were lacking depth and needed to get younger. Hopefully Wilber will be the pass rusher the Cowboys need opposite of DeMarcus Ware.
