Cowboys tame Panthers 19-14; move to .500


The Dallas Cowboys (3-3) defeated the lowly Carolina Panthers (1-5) 19-14 to move the team to .500 and ended a two-game losing streak.  The win moves the Cowboys in a tie with the eagles for second place in the NFC East division.  The player of the game was returning outside linebacker Anthony Spencer. Spencer finished with six tackles (3 solo, 3 assisted) and one sack. Miles Austin lead all Cowboys receivers with five catches for 97 yards and one touchdown.

Running back Felix Jones ran for 44 yards on 15 carries. Jones was sideline some of the second half of the game with a neck strain and a bruised knee. Tony Romo finished 24 of 34 for 227 yards passing and the Cowboys lone touchdown.

Next up for the Cowboys will be the division leading New York Giants (5-2) at Cowboys Stadium.
