Cowboys win in overtime 27-24 over Steelers; Three way tie in the NFC East

In the words of WWE’s announcer Hall of Fame member Jim Ross “Business is about to pick up”.  The Cowboys rally in overtime after giving up a 10 point lead to the Steelers to win on a Dan Bailey field goal 27-24.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo continues to carry the Dallas offense on his back, Romo was 30 of 42 for 341 yards passing with two 2 touchdowns and no interceptions for a 111.3 QB rating. Wide receiver Dez Bryant whose playing status was in question earlier in the week chipped in with four receptions for 59 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Dallas Cowboys (8-6) are now in a three-way tie for first place in the NFC East,the Cowboys have the tiebreaker over the Giants because they have a better division record. Washington Redskins are currently in first place because it owns the tiebreaker over the Dallas Cowboys since the Redskins won 38-31 on Thanksgiving Day at Cowboys Stadium.

Next up for the Cowboys will be the New Orleans Saints (5-8) looking to derail the Cowboys playoff hopes. If the Dallas Cowboys win the remaining two games they will win the NFC East and host a playoff game at Cowboys Stadium.
