Doug Free’s days as a Cowboys coming to a end?

Doug Free
CBS/NFL insider Jason La Canfora reports  it “looks like the end” for right tackle Doug Free with the Cowboys.
Free is owed seven million dollars in base salary and will count $11.2 million against the cap.
Doug Free started all 16 games for the Dallas Cowboys in 2012, but he and third year pro Jeremy Parnell rotated down the stretch. Free graded out near the bottom of Pro Football Focus’ final 2012 offensive tackle rankings.
While releasing Free would clear his salary off Dallas’ books, the move would not provide significant 2013 cap relief.
    Doug Free’s contract break down:
  • Contract: 4 years/32 million
  • Signing Bonus: 10,300,000
  • Average Salary: 8,000,000
  • Guaranteed: 17,000,000
The Dallas Cowboys are currently 18.2 million dollars over the 2013 projected salary cap.
